What authors are out there that you would say are similar to James Paterson in writing style/subject? Until a year or two ago my FIL wasn't a book reader, then a friend handed him a JP book and he's been powering through them since but refuses to try anybody new.
Any other authors out there that I can suggest he give a shot?
(I can't even imagine waiting til retirement to "get" the joy of reading a good book)
I feel like Johnathon Kellerman is a bit more detail in his books. I think they are longer and a bit slower, maybe not as fast paced as James Patterson. But they are similar subjects and I actually like them more then JP, especially some of his recent books.
Another idea might be Tess Gerritsen. She writes the Rizzoli and Isles series.
Alex Kava - Maggie O'Dell series (Female FBI profiler). Clive Cussler - Dirk Pitt series (adventurer/treasure hunter - similar to the movie National Treasure)
