A has been itching her head like crazy lately and I just found nits in her hair. She hasn't had lice since she was 3, I ended up shaving her head to get rid of them at that time. We are going to do an olive oil and tea tree treatment tomorrow morning and comb out what we can.
If Iz has lice, we will shave her head (she is gorgeous with short hair) and do an OO/TT treatment to be on the safe side. Owl and Apple will be getting checked often and treated if there are any signs of infestation.
Wash everything;bedding, plush toys, carseat covers, jackets, hairbands, brushesI mean everything, in scalding hot water. Steam clean carpets too. So sorry you are dealing with this.

We had live when I was little it sucked, took my mom too long to get rid of. She vacuumed like crazy, and I remember got a treatment from the doctor to get rid of it. I'd also suggest washing EVERYTHING you can and keeping a close eye on it. She also went through and picked nuts outbid our everytime it showed back up, and she had us comb our own hair with special comes for a week.
We have professional nit pickers around here. Our school requires you to use them if you have lice before you can return to school. I think they have a special light/heat treatment that you can use on older children. I hear that it is the way to go (although it is expensive). Also I have heard that putting stuffed animals and things you can't wash in plastic bags to suffocate them is recommended.
I decided to do the OO/TT treatment on everyone but Apple so we had a (not very fun/relaxing) spa day today. I didn't find lice/eggs on anyone but A, it took me 6 hours to pick through her hair but I think I got everything. I will retreat probably twice more this week and as needed from there. I pray the other girls stay bug free while I try to clear A up.
