Cold meds and TTC?

I'm about 8-9 DPO. It looks like I just came down with a cold. Boooo.

I know that there's some cold medicines you can't take while pregnant (especially my favorites--dayquil and nyquil). In the days where you could possibly be pregnant and don't know it yet--would you take these medicines anyway, or err on the side of caution and not take them?

I'm sure I'm over-thinking this..

The list my doc gave me said that Sudafed is okay, but Guafenisin (mucinex) should only be used in the 2nd and 3rd trimester.

Hm. I'm in the drink til it's pink train... So I suppose medicine could fall into the same boat? I'm not sure though, I've never really thought about it. Maybe take a safe med just to be sure, like the sugared villain suggested?

Geez, my advice is non-decisive and basically sucks. Sorry!

Plain Sudafed and Plain Robitussin are both fine according to my OB.

Take the cold medicine. It will be ok.

I would take regular cold medicine during the 2WW.
