Do you always buy the matching shams for your bedding?
I just bought a new duvet:
I picked 2 matching shams, but at $30ea, I don't know if I will keep them. 1) we rarely ever make the bed to a point that shams are displayed. 2) I have/ currently using quilted shams like these: the color isnt a perfect match, but it kinda works.

I don't think it's necessary, no. I would probably use a color that coordinated if I ever had decorative pillows like that. Or, you know, made the bed.

We have a no decorative pillows policy in my house. Only exception is the guest bed which stays made and looking nice 90% of the time. Otherwise, eff that. I don't need more stuff to futz with when making the bed.

Plus, the ones you have look fine.
I can't see the ones you have (image is blocked for me at work), but otherwise ditto this.
We usually put two Euro shams closest to the head board (3 if you have a King bed) and then our pillows in front of that and then 1 or 2 standard sham pillows in a different fabric in front of our sleep pillows. Looks nice and fairly simple but gives a nice pop to the bedroom! (A decorator once told me to do this!)
