I think it's pretty, but I think she'll constantly have to tell people how to pronounce it, and deal with mispronunciations, which is a PITA. I consider myself pretty intelligent, and even I said "Mir-ELLE" in my head when I read it.
What about Mirabelle? I also know a Marielle, which I think is very pretty.
Are you living in a French speaking country or a place with enough French influence that most people will know how to pronounce Mireille? If so, I like it fine. If not, I think pronounciation issues will make your child's life difficult. And I do think Cosette and Mireille are a bit much together if you are neither French nor living in a French speaking country. What about something like Mara, Maren, or Marina for a similar sound?

If you like the idea of a French name to go with Cosette but want something that English speakers will easily be able to pronounce, I think Simone, Camille, Sophie, Sylvie, Audrey, or Adrienne would all be good choices.

Does Miranda have any appeal to you? That seems relatively unusual and girly to me and sounds a little like Mireille. Annabelle, Juliana, Cordelia, Evangeline, Beatrix, and Penelope are all names I see as girly and somewhat uncommon, but still recognizable and easy to pronounce.

I like all of these. And I PPH French girly names. I was thinking of using Juliette for a MN for a long time. Of course, that means I'm having a BOY.

I LOVE it, but I would be concerned about it being pronounced incorrectly. DH and I both love Genevieve, but we won't use it because we hate the way that it would be pronounced in the U.S. But on the flip side, I have a French name, and I much prefer the American pronunciation to the French. She may like being called Mi-relle
If you truly love it, I wouldn't rule it out. I think most people looking at it realize they don't know how to pronounce it and will ask, vs. a name like Genevieve that people assume they are pronouncing correctly. [Off to add Mireille to my list...]
We live in very French influenced area & have a French last name. 2 year old in siggy is Lucienne, pronounced Loos-yen, & called Lucie or Lulu.
What a cute name/nickname! OP, I would totally consider stealing this one if I were you--it is unusual, girly, and French but has the advantage of an easy to pronounce nickname.

I agree, although I do think the name is very pretty.
