I am terrible about makeup, but I'm trying to get better and I'm using Christmas as a way to stock up on better products. I really like the look of the Naked palette (question 1: is 1 or 2 better?) and Nars Orgasm blush. But both have some sparkle to them. Will I look like a stripper if I wear both at once, or is it a subtle sparkle?
I can't imagine looking like a stripper using either Naked palette (1 is likely better if your skintone is warm, 2 if it's cool, but both are lovely no matter what) but you'll want to apply Orgasm with a reasonably light hand. Tarte Glisten is very similar, but the sparkle is a bit more subdued.
I bought a tarte blush without sparkle, for the main reason of not having too much sparkle. I never know what's appropriate, so I erred on the side of caution.
Doesn't sound like a problem to me - both are pretty subtlish (I'll admit not full substle) sparkles. There's also enough difference choices in the UD palette it would work.
I've read that Naked is best for warm skin tones and Naked2 for cool skin. Before buying, other palettes to consider are The Balm Nude Tude (my favorite palette and I bought it instead of Naked) and Too Faced Naked Eye.
I don't think you'll look like a stripper, but I personally find most of the colors in the Naked palette too sparkly for daytime wear. I think Naked plus Orgasm would be a lot of sparkle, particularly if you have a fair complexion and are a little older. (I am very fair and 35 and have both the Naked palette and Orgasm blush--both together during the day is not a good look for me.) If you have darker skin and you are really young, I think it would probably be fine.
I love the Too Faced Naked Eye palette. It is my go-to for daytime wear.
I have both, and will wear both together for evening. I wear a matte blush during the day. I think the blush is easy to get too crazy with, light hand is key!
