H got me an anniversary gift. I thought it was a box of chocolates because of the size of the box, but it was an iPad mini. Awesome! Super cool gift!! Can't get it anywhere, and how much fun while I'm nursing, etc. Then I asked him how much. $379. Um. Lol. No freaking way. We both have iPhones and we have a family iPad. He knew darn well I wouldn't let him spend that on something we don't need. So we agreed it was a fun gift, but it goes back. Within 15 minutes he was engrossed in something on his phone while I'm trying to talk to him and its on Craig's List so he can make $20 from it. Great. He's an entrepreneur. I should be thankful that he's so "resourceful" but also can't help but roll my eyes into the back of my head. A box of chocolate would have done just fine.
Luis always wants gifts that I think are expensive. He wants a $50 video game for Christmas. So glad that you have time to play video games, sir. I'd like to sleep for a whole day for Christmas.
$5 for four people to go see a comedian? That's using your noggin. $50 for a video game? N Not so much.
He knew 100% we were t keeping it though. It's just hard to get so it was like a conquest, and now an opportunity. He could be doing worse things with his time, it's just not where my mind goes. I'm looking at menu planning and different shades of pink napkins.
He knows someone who works at the apple store and I guess they get one in each night at 10pm which can be reserved. So he reserved it. I thought he was asking for a $20 profit but I guess it is more like $50.
I think we're going to get lawn furniture for the back yard. It's going to be a pain to keep clean because of all of our giant oaks, but the little one is about to start walking soon and we can start to get some good use from our back yard. So now I'm shopping

I let the girls run around in the backyard this weekend for the first time and they.flippin'.love.it. I thouw some sneakers on them and tell them, "Let's go out!" They mostly play with the brooms on the back porch, but they do go an run like fools.

Yes! Man if I can get her to play with a little rake we'll be in business!
I'm not an "i" person, but very cool for a gift! I totally get the "what are you thinking" aspect! Especially with a little one now, totally changes my perspective on things. I compare everything to how much daycare costs. Hmm, that's like a week and a half of daycare. H just rolls his eyes at me....that's because I pay the bills!

Exactly. Mine doesn't pay the bills either, I do. Well I mean, he makes all the money, but I write the checks and balance the statements, so he doesn't really "see" where the money goes.

This made me LOL. Your H buys an iPad mini to make a few bucks. MH buys Obama books at the $ store. No one even made an offer at the yard sale. You can get them for like $.20 on Amazon. Sigh, he never listens to me.... there is a reason why they are at the $ store. hahaha
