Hey! We bought it at a local store here but the brand is Little Castle and it's the Valentino Glider. It swivels and glides but doesn't recline. We love it and it was the most expensive item in the room but we plan to use it for years!
So is it like...fabulously comfy? Or just comfy enough? And how has it held up?
I had been eyeballing the Little Castle chairs online and when I saw that one in your bio I thought it might be the same one. I showed it to MH last night and he said he actually didn't hate it (which is a big hurdle. We have very different taste in upholstered furniture), but he hates the price. My thing is that the rest of our nursery furniture is going to cost a grand total of $150. (yay CL and handmedowns) I feel like a $500 chair that I could actually use somewhere else after nursery days is worth it when you look at the overall budget. I mean...jeez, a crib costs like $200 (ours was free). A new dresser would be another couple hundred (ours was $130). And he's willing to spend $200ish for the basic ugly glider you see everywhere. So....still saving money by my math. But no dice so far.
I hear ya on the price. With a coupon we ultimately spent like $800. However, the rest of our furniture was less than $200 each so it was our 1 splurge. We love it because it's really comfy and both DH and I can sit in it and be comfortable (he's 6'2" and I'm 5'2"). We didn't do a basic fabric, which is what raised the price (plus the ottoman too) but I wouldn't trade it for anything. It looks custom and once it's no longer in use for DD or any other children we will put it in our bedroom.
