I paid about $115 ( on sale ) for a Michael Kors tanking and bikini bottom. Huge mistake. I don't love it. I barely tolerate it. PIP/LIP the one you bought!

Most expensive suite I bought was from Tommy Bahama, I think I spent like $180. Gosh I love that suite I've got 3 summers out of it so far and as long as I don't get pregnant anytime soon its going to last me at least 10 years. Love that suite!
It is super cute! My last bathing suit I bought was about 4 summers ago for $80 from Land's End. I still love it and will continue to wear it as long as it holds up. They let you put in your problem areas and body type and then show you pieces that best work for your body.
Holy shit...that is a ton of cash for a bathing suit! I'm another one who wears Target bathing suits. I think I'm in enough shape that I can wear my bathing suits from two summers ago again and not the hideous tankini that I found on clearance at Target in July.

I agree they are expensive these days, but how often do you guy a new suit? I bought a new one last year and this year, but before that, I hadn't bought one in like 8 years!! since college!
I wish I had a figure that could fit into a Target bathing suit.
Trust me, my figure is nothing to write home about. (says the 5'3" woman who can't figure out why WW and working out daily doesn't help me drop below 180 lbs...)
But, there doesn't exist a swimsuit that will fix all the body issues I have. Maybe if it was acceptable to wear a full-body suit... hrm.
I don't wear a suit all that often, so I just get a cheap one. This one would fit a bit better if I did some minor alterations, but it's not horrendous as is. (shortening the straps - I'm very short-bodied, and this is an easy alteration... I just need to pull out my sewing machine to do it one of these days...)
This picture posted is super cute, though. If you spend much time in a suit, getting one you are comfortable in, and like to wear, is worth spending a goodly amount. (I just have too many body issues to ever feel comfortable in a swimsuit, so it doesn't matter if I spend $30 or $300... might as well, for me, spend the lower amount)

I think they've always been expensive. I remember trying to buy a suit in high school, and I was shocked when the total was twice what I expected (maybe $80?) b/c I assumed the price was for the whole outfit, not each piece.
I normally buy from target, although the last few years have had terrible styles. Same for Old Navy. No, I don't want random metal pieces in a suit. That's a good way to attract a barracuda to my chest, fuckers.
My last suit was from title9, and I'll probably get another one from there soon. My old target suits are falling apart now. Since I mostly swim in the ocean, I need the elastic to actually function.

It might be expensive but that is really cute! I'm sure it will last you years.
I never spend a lot of money on swimsuits (Target) but I just might this year. It's my second summer since having J but last summer didn't count because there was no way I was getting into a swimsuit 3 months after giving birth. I'm sure as hell not putting on my old bikinis so I need something more like you posted. If it can make me feel good then it's worth the money.

I normally just grab something from JC Penney. I got three suits for how much you spent on one lol BUT I'm sure your one will last a lot longer than all three of my cheap ones
