We voted absentee. I'm bummed that I don't get a sticker, but happy that I won't have to wait in line. All I have to do is sit and wait for the returns!
No. I always go after work. DD was super cute last night as she told her grandparents "I gonna vote with mama one" she apparently remembers the primary voting experience.
Yes, I voted this morning before I went to work. It took me almost 2 hours to get home from work yesterday (hurricane traffic...) so I'm not taking any chances on missing my opportunity. This was my first time voting in person and my first time voting in my current state. I was so annoyed that they almost made me cast a provisional bballot! I filled the whole provisional one out and then finally the woman had someone else double check the book who was able to find me. The provisional one got ripped up and I got to vote for real.
The irony of Minnesota (my home state and the state where we had our wedding) voting on an anti-marriage amendment on our anniversary really hit me this morning. For that one my hopes are not high, and it's sad.
Done. Kids were up at 5:45 this morning, so we were there at 6:45. L had gotten there at 6 and had a space in line inside the building, so I sent the kids in with her to wait/vote. Thankfully, she was done by 7:20 and took them to school since it took me until 8:30 to get though the line.
The kids were super excited to go vote and loved getting their "I voted" sticker.
I am on pins and needles re: the marriage amendment on the ballot here.

Happy Anniversary Kershnic!!!
Crossing my fingers for all the marriage initiatives on the ballot including here in WA. I managed to get my very conservative parents to vote yes for marriage equality which I consider a HUGE accomplishment. My dad said something along the lines of if we didn't know you...which is exactly why I talked it up with them. I told them I hoped that they would want their daughter to have the same rights that their son does. And it worked!
We vote all mail-in ballots here in WA, so I mailed mine in two weeks ago...now just anxiously waiting for the returns.
I got up at 6 a.m. to be there shortly after the polls opened. There was a short line, and I'm glad I went early, as it seems there are some fairly long lines in places around the city.
