Hey ladies and niq, just though I'd share that someone on the national boards got IP banned by proboards. Turns out there's actually a lot of rules on these boards and we've already been warned a few times. They want us to keep things PG-13, which is way lame. Notice the "Sex and Romance" board is missing? *THAT* was too risque for proboards gods. I think we (as a GBCN community) are being targeted/watched by both TN and PB.
I think here on Seattle, we should generally be fine, since we're just not as rowdy as the national boards, but just play it safe- don't be too vulgar. I think our usual sexy clickies are fine just don't go extreme on them.
Yeah, the porn link is what originally got us in trouble- that's when they asked for PG-13, and the removal of the S&R board. Then yesterday somebody got banned, and the reasoning PB gave was basically cause they felt like it (they have a catch-all reason). I think it's cause the user was impersonating nest/bump staff, which I don't think they wouldVe known (or cared) unless TN/TB was the one that complained.
Well that's lame, but PG-13 is fine by me. Is S&R coming back with a different name?
Yeah PG-13 will totally work on our board- not like we ever talk graphically about sex, or post nudeypix or anything like that. Bad/strong language (only words that relate to sex, like f) is considered PG-13 if used less than 5x's in a movie, so just keep it to under 5x's a post and we'll be fine.
I think they decided to kill the S&R board bc it wasn't a high traffic board anyway, and most the regulars there hung out on MM and ML anyway.
This is stupid. Who died and made them god? Oh wait.
I agree that it doesn't really effect our board, but its still dumb. Despite this, its stillbeing over at the other place.
Does this mean we can't say fvck any more?
TN died and made PB god- although not intentionally! ;D
No, you can totally say efF, up to 5x's a post or so. At least that's what I gathered when I was reading about PG-13 on wikipedia. Language wasn't really discussed on the Mods board, they were concerned about posting about artificial sexual devices often used by women to replicate a man. That and penises. Penis isn't considered a bad word, right? It's a body part.
