I would kill my husband, KILL HIM. He already rough houses enough with the baby to give me an anxiety attack...I cannot even imagine what something like this would cause me to do. I don't think I'd be held accountable either.
TBH, I'm not all up in arms about this. I think it's wrong, they shouldn't have closed the door on the kid, but I'm not to the point of 'they should be charged with something' that others seem to be at. It says they were just joking around and they made a mistake. An absolutely terrible mistake, but a mistake nonetheless.
But then I've seen plenty of people ride in dryers so...
Meh, sometimes mistakes need to be punished by either society or law to deter it from happening again. I think this making news is enough punishment for the parents.

That video was awful to watch. I'm not sure that I could ever trust my spouse again if they did that to our kids. I can't even imagine how lucky they are that the baby didn't drown or die from tumbling so hard. Wtf.
I don't think they should lose custody of their son over this but I think the public humiliation they are receiving (or will once they publicly identify them) is completely appropriate and warranted. If nothing else it's getting the message across to other moron parents: do NOT put your kids in a washing machine.

How the hell was that not a message before? I can't bring myself to watch the video... That kid's going to be so proud when he's older. " My folks went viral for putting me in the washing machine on accident."

I agree but you and I both know you don't need to take an IQ or common sense test before procreating. Hopefully one idiot out there will cross off "put kid in washing machine" on their "Fun Things to Do With the Kids" list.
I had a panic attack watching that! I hope someone identifies them and CPS comes out. I do think they should lose their child, they've proven to be irresponsible and a threat to the health of the child. Public humiliation is not an adequate punishment. Ugh.

Putting your child directly into a washing machine isn't an accident. I think it deserves to be treated as more than just a " mistake ". A mistake is forgetting to buckle both straps of the carseat in your sleep deprived stupor. And thanking all that is Holy that you didn't get into an accident when you reached your destination, realizing what you did.
I won't watch the video but I'm surprised people think closing a small child in a WASHING MACHINE could be seen as a ' whoops '. And it's in a public laundry? Fucking morons. I'm shocked that stupid people like this surprise me anymore. Were they high? I think it deserves atleast a CPS investigation. They clearly, at a minimum, need some parenting skill classes.

Oh my gosh. That's so scary.
It does look like the parents were legit shocked and horrified when the machine came on, but still. You're dealing with an industrial washer and you've clearly done a load, you know how this works. I do think those parents should get a stern talking to. That's completely unacceptable to put your toddler into a washer (or dryer, which they'd apparently also done).
I was about to ask if this is the washing machine thing, but from the comments I gather it is. I still haven't watched it and refuse to. I feel sick just thinking about what could have happened.
