What kind of things are your 6mos-1 year olds eating?
DD2 likes pretty much everything I have given her already....I give her some jarred fruits and veggies as well as some of the things we eat. She seems to prefer the food we are eating, she likes to chew. ;D She had pasta w/ sauce the other night. Anything your DC especially likes?
We did BLW with DS at about 7 months and there is nothing that he won't eat. Last night for dinner he had chicken breast, avocado, strawberries, green beans and a breadstick. We just feed him cut up pieces of food that we are having.
Fish, chicken, hamburger (he likes Five Guys), sweet potato, rice w/ veg, watermelon, strawberries, meatballs, spaghetti, mac and cheese, cheese slices, carrots/peas, corn, green beans (canned--the steamed are too tough for him), avocado (guac), tomato, yogurt, applesauce, fruit cups (peaches, mandarin oranges), bread/rolls, salsa...my kid'll eat just about anything you put in front of him.
Also whatever we are eating minus nuts. We also did BLW'ing and she has never eaten purees, which was her choice since we offered it to her and she refused it once she had real food. She eats anything and everything, this weekend at a wedding she was shoveling salmon rolls and gazpacho in her mouth. She loves strong flavors. Oh, she is 13 months.
Sorry quick first time mom - to - be question... someone mentioned no purees and BLW. Does this mean you never have to do baby food jars and/or making your own baby food? (I enjoy this thought)

We also feed what we are eating. DD still doesn't have teeth so we are limited by that, but she loves Mac n Cheese and blackberries. Last night we had mac n' cheese and broccoli for dinner. (She also liked the broccoli, but nothing compares to mac n' cheese).
We tried making our own baby food and DD hated purees. Poor DH spent 3 hours making baby food and DD refused to eat anything but the sweet potato. To this day, she will occasionally eat applesauce, but that's about it. We just mashed up soft food,(or cut up into tiny pieces, things like pasta, avocado, sweet potato, broccoli, etc.

Yes. I highly recommend the BLW'ing book. It can be nervewracking at first, they may seem like they are choking when they are really gagging, there is a difference. And my dd didn't actually eat much food at all until almost 9 months, but it is really just all for practice anyway at first.
