I'm going to have to board my ornery dog for Amelia's birthday party. Has anyone had any experiences with Banfield? Or should I look into a private vet practice? Does anyone have any recommendations in NW Tampa? My normal vet is way over on 56th because H lived there when he got his dog and we love that vet, but it's close to an hour each way. Not going to do that twice in a day.
We use a woman in Tarpon Springs who boards dogs in her home. However once we did use Preppy Pets (http://www.preppypet.com/tampawest.html) and were satisfied with them. They are right behind the Publix near the Oldsmar Flea Market. I have neighbors who use this place regularly and are happy with it too.
I've boarded our older dog at the Lodge many times. I like them a lot - the only thing I don't like is that they only have one hour for pick up on Sunday's - there's been a few times we've gotten back into town at 11 am, and had to pay for another day boarding because we missed their 9-10 am window.
Just wanted to say that I'm willing to dogsit any dog that's about the same size or smaller than my cat. I realize that's a pretty limiting factor, but I dogsit shih-tzus and a maltese from time to time. My cat hates dogs, but she appears to tolerate any dog that isn't bigger than her.

Thank you, you would love one of my dogs, but you definitely must have missed my post from last night about the other one.
