NB Cloth Diapers

I thought I would start here. I have Newborn sized cloth diapers that Samantha fit in for about 5 days. Some were never even used; all were prepped though. They were all washed in Bum Genius detergent and have been sunned.

This is a great NB stash if you plan on CD from the start.

Are any of the expecting mamas planning on cloth diapering? Are you interested in these?

(And before you go all "ew! Used cloth diapers" on me, there is a big market for second hand CDs.)

Used doesn't bother me, but I am worried about too much of a newborn stash. Lils was born too big for newborn everything --sounds like the same problem you had. I'm definitely interested in the Thirsties, and also the Simplex. Are you interested in splitting up the stash? If no, I have a newly-pregnant friend who has cloth diapered her baby, but she started a little late, and she might be interested in some newborn diapers.

Oh, and I should add.... the cover is white hook and loop, but the duo is a girly print, so I don't think that will work for your little boy.

My favorite for those first few weeks were thirstie covers size 1 and Green Mountain Diaper prefolds - orange edge and yellow edge. I would just tri fold them and place them in the cover.

I did like the grovia, too, but that like only lasted for about 7 days, and that was pushing it.

Now, I'm digging Bum Genius 4.0 pockets. I'm pretty sure that is what we'll be using from here on out. Now I just need to grow my stash of them. I still use prefolds and covers when I'm out though, until she outgrows my thirsties covers (those were my favorite - size 1) as I can get more in my diaper bag doing it this way.

I've heard good things about BG, and I picked one up at Buy Buy Baby. It was $17.99, but you could use one of those $5 off coupons and get a good deal on it. Not bad!
