Update: G starts new in-home Monday. I'll keep having her Tuesdays only until mid-December to transition.
I'm so relieved! I think nanny is looking forward to it too. More fun, less mediating arguments. (G & my DD's personalities are THE WORST for each other. One overly sensitive one, and one who likes to joke/pick.)
Moral of this 2-year long story: I like kids, just not all of them. I am not cut-out to run a daycare. Peach is the SHIZZ.
Peach does rock! I work with kids every day all day long, and I love it. School however, is a whole different ballgame. Daycare is not for me. I'd be nuts in about 8 minutes. People tell me all the time, I should quit my job and start a daycare (there's a serious need here)..I'm all umm.....yeah...HELL NO!

Honestly, I'm a little grateful I did it. It allowed me to quit my horrible job, work for myself and spend the past 2 years with Franca.
But the big thing is having another kid here who is not mine made me work harder. I can be pretty slack, but I felt a greater obligation to be better. It was nice to know I could NEVER turn the tv on and it made me DO more things with them. I honestly think Franca and I would have gone shopping everyday if it was just her.
Aw you guys made me tear up! I am sitting in the nap room putting the kids down for a nap and saw this on my phone. Today was rough with a very high maintenance baby And the older child who cannot do a thing for themself. Getting her boots on was a 5 minute ordeal let alone the rest of her snow gear and the six others I had to dress. I've been a but impatient today and feeling grouchy. I appreciate your compliments! I am definitely not the shizz but I try lol.

I hear you and agree. I work a few days a week too just so I appreciate my time with Rubes more. Gets me off the computer, away from the TV and into fun stuff with her. Otherwise, I'd farm and watch Elmo all day..lol.
Monday I think you should be drinking with breakfast to celebrate!
haha, I had one boy who was a very odd child, and his mother was one of my most difficult parents EVA. His last day, I did a happy dance and DH took me out to supper to celebrate it was awesome!
Usually I am crying when kids have their last day with me but...every once in a while, a party begins the minute they exit my door the last time.

If only I could drink! Stupid pregnancy!
Thing is, DD gets up with DH and they go downstairs and eat breakfast and hang out. Before, I'd have to get up, dressed, presentable and fix breakfast for G. Now I'm just going to hang in bed until DH leaves for work! The parttime nanny is going to see my morning hair T, W, & Thurs!
Seriously you are. My own two drive me crazy about once a day for 20 minutes, sometimes at the same time, sometimes at different times. I def have used TV to my "advantage" and can't imagine busting my ass this hard for someone elses kid. You rock Peaches!
