A woman pushing her infant son in a stroller has been arrested in El Cerrito after she allegedly stole from a store, brandished a knife at employees and was found in possession of a glass smoking pipe and a burglary tool, police said.
The incident began shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday when officers were sent to a business at El Cerrito Plaza to investigate reports that a woman was brandishing a knife, said El Cerrito police Det. Corp. Gilbert Tang.
They learned that the suspsect, Booshondia Daniel, 29, of Richmond, had tried to leave the business “without paying for some merchandise,” Tang said. When employees confronted her, Daniel “pulled out a knife and began waving it in a threatening manner,” Tang said.
Daniel fled the scene while “pushing a baby stroller with an infant inside of it,” Tang said.
Officers found Daniel at the El Cerrito Plaza BART Station. After witnesses positively identified her, officers searched Daniel and found her in possession of a glass smoking pipe and a burglary tool, Tang said.
Daniel was arrested on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, theft, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The infant’s father came to the El Cerrito Police Department and took custody of him.

When I managed a high volume home furnishings store in Houston, we had a mother/daughter team that robbed us together. They were probably 25/45 and drove a Range Rover. People are crazy.
Unrelated question - what the hell is a burglary tool?
Do you want my tinfoil Fuck the Police theory? A burglary tool can be a crowbar or anything else the police think that you could use to break a lock or something. Burglary tool gets thrown around a lot when pull over black folks and search a trunk. Hell, my garden pruner could be a burglary tool.

OH sweet. MH's truck is FULL of burglary tools. Good thing he's white I guess.
I once walked out of Target with some computer software that my DD apparently grabbed and shoved into the basket beneath my son's stroller. No alarm was triggered when we left. When I returned the item, the manager acted shocked and I got the crystal clear impression that Target isn't used to recovering merchandise that goes missing.
This poor woman never had a chance in life. Boo fucking Shondia.
Exactly.
When I first moved here DS+I went to BB+B with my SUV stroller and just started piling up the basket with hangars, shower curtains, etc. We were there a while...and about 3/4th of the way through I realized I was seriously being eyed and tailed and couldn't believe they would think I'd walk out with that stuff, but it probably happens all.the.time.
