Misplaced things

I can't find a pair of shoes that i wanna pack for my trip tomorrow!

Yes! Plenty! The most annoying one on my mind right now is a set of rechargeable AAA batteries. We've checked EVERYTHING in the house, and they're gone. Super annoying.

Everything Our house is a mess, we still have 1/3 of our stuff in the garage since we haven't had the money to invest in the new bookshelves yet! Recently though, I realized I have 2 clothing items I haven't seen in several MONTHS and I have NO idea where they are!

Oh my god, I am the king of misplaced things. I misplace my keys and phone all the time; I've lost big checks in piles of mail for days. I don't know where several of my more formal jackets are, I'm sure they're somewhere in the house I just don't know where.

I lost things all the time as a kid and teenager. Whenever I lose something I feel like I am playing into "Absent-minded professor" stereotypes and that I'm a failure as an adult. It's really bad. And now that I live with someone I outsource finding it so much, and it feels like that "Where's the butter" cartoon. I don't know how W puts up with it.

My husband and child are like this. Mama knows where EVERYTHING is. Truth is, around here, is probably where it's supposed to be if they would just look. I am happy to help, though, and I'm sure W is happy when she's able to help you find your things.
