Dress my family!!

We are getting a portrait from JCP; It'll be our first actually as a family.

Can you help me dress us? I'd like to make Holiday cards out of this picture. But I've never done portraits as a mom before. Help?

Any colors you prefer

I like (and Luis looks especially handsome in) darker colors (which I think would fit the winter-ness). I like purple and mauve (I have green eyes, so I think those colors kind of complement me.) I am not a big fan of blue.

Is this helping? I have never done this before. I tried Pinterest, but nothing there seemed really realistic.

Khaki and purple and the girls can be in Ivory/ silver

Just try to have your colors compliment each other and not clash. Patterns look nice in some pics but I tend to gravitate towards solids. Just no tee shirts with sayings, big logos, etc.

Agreed that complimentary colors are best. For our recent family pics, we picked out Ellie's outfit first. Her skirt was patterned (paired with a solid ivory sweater) and H and I then tried to pull colors from her skirt for our own outfits. I wore a purple-ish sweater dress and H wore a deep red sweater over a red patterned shirt. (Pic in my siggy, actually!). A similar color scheme sounds like it would fit what you like.

And then I would find something darker purple for me. Luis has a nice dark purple dress shirt and gray pair of slacks.

Ok so anyway, my first thought is I love the sweaters for twins. My second thought is when they're wearing them close next to each other will they blend together too much in pics? Maybe not. And you and Luis both in purple is good as long as they're different shades.

Cute! I like the ruffles. The 2 grey ones might be just fine. I'm curious what anyone else thinks. I kind of have no fashion so take any thoughts I have very lightly.
