We are very tentatively planning a trip to Europe in 2014. My husband wants to see a Formula 1 race. Even though it is 2 years away, I'm already researching how we can maximize our time in Europe and see as much as we can in the time we will be there.
Does anyone else do that? You start thinking about a trip and you can't get it out of your mind!?
Yes, I tend to make myself crazy. Actually the best trip I ever took was to San Francisco, booked less than three weeks before we left and at I time I was too busy at work to plan an itinerary. Fortunately we had been their previously and had already seen most of the touristy things - so it was nice to just wing it for once.
I am such a planner, it consumes me as soon as I even start thinking about a trip.
Yes, which is why I find it painful to plan with folks who can't make a decision or constantaly regret their decisions and change things over and over.
I had to completely opt out of planning our last family trip with DH's family. I didn't care what we did, but once folks agreed on something, I made plans and booked things - only to have this massive "but wait, maybe not, lets go back to the drawing board and reconsider everything." I told DH I couldn't function like that and I'll show up to whatever they all decided upon. Just tell me what to pack for.
Totally! I'm already obsessing about our 2014 post vow renewal vacation. Bought guides, made Pinterest boards, researched tours, reviews etc. Not mention we have another two big trips before then...it's out of control
I have vacations planned out for at least the next 5 years. I have started researching some of the bigger ones, but I have to force myself to contentrate only on the next vacation and not ALL of them.
Not really. I have a list of places we want to visit and if I see good flights pop up for a time that works for us I book the trip. We have booked our last two vacations about 30 minutes after finding a good deal.
Now I do day dream about all of the places I want to visit.
Sort of. I have a few trips planned in detail, but I don't know when I'll get around to booking them. I have the whole itinerary, but I will only book it when it fits into my schedule and/or the flights go on sale at the right time. I've been sitting on one of them for two years already.
