So, I'm a renter in an old, but cute house. My landlord is pretty open to whatever I want to do and has made a few minor improvements, but there are still some ghetto things I'm stuck with...like a gross old fridge that has some rust spots, etc. on the front. It wortks fine, so I know she wouldn't replace. My mom suggested I paint it. I had no idea this could be done, but she said my aunt did it and it looks fabulous (well, not a new fridge, but a cheap way to upgrade the look). Has anyone ever done this? Tips/tricks/warning?
MIL did it. They have a really odd size spot for the fridge, so it was much easier/cheaper to paint the old almond fridge than to try to find a new one to fit. So far as I know she just used appliance paint as directed. Looks good - no scratches and you can't tell it wasn't originally white.
