4:30 - pick kids up from daycare 4:45 - get home, have snack, play a little 5:00 - 6:00 - DH gets home sometime in here, make dinner while he plays with the kids, eat 6:00 - 7:15ish - play, baths if needed 7:30 - have the kids in bed
The above schedule is the ideal evening. Some nights we have leftovers so I don't cook and we eat earlier. Sometimes DH works late or the kids need attention so I don't cook until later and we don't eat until later. Sometimes DH cooks. One night a week the kids have swim lessons at 6:15 so we rush home to eat, change, pack up and leave the house about an hour later. But the average evening is spent eating and playing.
*Disclaimer: My kids are 3 and 5 so there are no bottles or supplies to prepare. Our daycare provides food so no lunches to pack. I work from home so I have zero prep needed for the next day. Pick up by 4:30 is required by my daycare. She is closed after that time.

My kid are older, so there is no bottle prep, and they eat whatever we do (for the most part).
5:00 - get home, kids get a snack/play while H makes dinner 5:45 - eat dinner, clean up, help DS w/ homework, play 7:00 - bathtime, watch TV 8:00 - bedtime for DS 8:30/9 - bedtime for DD
DD stays up later b/c she still naps and is generally a nightowl, while DS is wiped out from school.
My DH does most of the cooking/cleaning/prep too because DS nurses so much in the evenings. I've been trying to trade with him when DS isn't nursing so I can do the chores & he can spend some time with DS. Would that work for you guys?
Now that DD is going to bed so early, I don't want to give up a single second with her. I try to push off any chores until after she's in bed but DH is always on a mission to get things done. I did have this vision of us all eating together as a family and we just can't seem to make it work, so we have been eating after she's asleep.
I actually really miss the cluster feeding in the evenings until 10pm- at least I got more cuddle time with her that way!
You could try a crock pot meal once or twice a week if you want to have some family meals. Prep after she's in bed, throw the whole insert in the fridge, turn it on before you leave in the morning.
We just moved to Denver and my commute kind of sucks so I try to leave by 4:30-that would have never flown in the office I came from in TX (corporate) but here everyone leaves early so I decided I'm going to also! I only make very easy dinners during the week or the nanny starts a crock pot meal.
5:30 get home-kids home with nanny, play and snuggle 6:30 start baths/last bottle 7:30 last baby usually in bed, make/eat dinner, do dishes or anything else baby related that needs to be done, watch tv 10pm bed

5:45 - Get home with the kids 6 - dinner on the table (yes I know this is unrealistic, but I try like hell) 6:15 - take DD up to start getting ready for bed (bath) 6:30 - nurse DD to sleep, DH starts getting DS ready for bed (bath, jammies, books) 7:15 - DS in bed, me in the shower, DH packs daycare bags, washes bottles and pump parts 7:45 - I make bottles and my lunch, rotate freezer stock 8:15 - Pump and then crash. I might watch a show, surf, work on the budget, clip some coupons 9:30 - bed
