We were watching a movie last night and out of the blue my right hand got really weak and the top of my middle finger went numb and kind of tingly. Not ZOMG I CAN'T FEEL MY FINGER but just some sensation was gone. It lasted for maybe 20 minutes. T of course insists I go to the doctor LIKE NOW.
About 20 minutes ago the right side of my face starts losing some sensation too and is kind of tingly. The best way to describe it is as if there's hair on my face and I can't push it back...if that make any sense.
I made the mistake of emailing him and telling him this. I made an appointment with the doctor's office but they can't get me in until Tuesday night.
He's all up in arms now...called me on my work line (even though I'm at home today) asking what side it's on and that it being on the right is better because left is the "stroke side" (I don't know where he gets this shit from) and is probably going to email me every 20 minutes from now until he gets home.
In all likelihood it's probably carpal tunnel but I'll probably be monitored for a stroke from now until Tuesday.

umm....left is heart attack side in a male. Carpal tunnel would only affect the hand (thumb thru ring fingers) and occasionally into the forearm. Facial numbness or paresthesias are more concerning, the nerves that innervate the face come directly from the brain. If anything else goes numb, intermittently, or you start getting a headache or a migraine I'd think about going to an urgent care or an ER.
(I'm not a medical alarmist by any means, actually am a PA). The only time I had facial numbness was from throwing clots from BCP.
I had something similar a few months back and went to a neurologist for it per my PCM. There was never an answer other than "maybe it's cluster headaches? Either way, here's a grab bag of pills to try out as you wish!" I ended up changing my diet a bit and it helped. Mine did come with headaches though, and I would pass out mid-sentence with them.

Not sure about the hand, but the only time I have any type of facial tingling I am either 1) having some type of anxiety attack or 2) a migraine is rolling in.
My PCM thought it may be stress related, but we figured out it is one of my triggers of migraines.
Hopefully it is just stress, and nothing alarming.

Doctor Google says MS immediately but then says carpal tunnel even with the face tingliness.
I wouldn't be shocked in the least bit if it was stress and anxiety. I don't have any headaches, just some tension in my neck that is in need of a good massage.

I went through numbness, etc a while back. Mine was associated with dizziness/slight vertigo. I didn't have an MRI, but the Neuro concluded it was stress related. My neck is also way out of alignment which was causing the dizzy spells.
A neuro would be able to do some standard neurological tests to see if there's something that needs more investigating. I'm sure its stress/neck tension though.

Anxiety attack is my guess. This exact thing happened to me once when I was pregnant. I didn't feel stressed at the moment, but I was having a hard time reading an email. Then my left hand went numb and it started with my fingers, then my face.
