I think I'm officially starting with some ms (although not in the morning). I was really sick with my last and cannot remember what I used to try to feel better. I know I eventually was given an rx but so far I'm just nauseated and not throwing up so I'd like to avoid a rx. Any words of advice would be very appreciated
I'm by no means an expert, but for me the really really bad nausea seems to happen when my stomach is really empty or my blood sugar is super-low.
I've been starting off the morning (like, as soon a I wake up) with a small glass of soy milk (I'm lactose intolerant) or juice. This gets just enough in my stomach to keep me feeling okay until I can stomach something solid. Usually the "something solid" might just be a little bit of dry cereal or a few bites of toast or a muffin, until I can stomach something more, like a banana a few hours later. By lunch I'm normally feeling okay. If I don't keep munching on small things (to keep my tummy full) then I feel sick again by dinner. If I stay on top of it, then the days aren't so bad. If I don't, then it really sucks.
I agree with keeping something in your stomach. Although, that hasn't helped me much this time around. I do find, though if I let myself get to the point of actual hunger, it goes real bad real fast and I can't eat anything for a long time. So I try to eat small snacks throughout the day.
Agree with pps. Also try Unisom and B6, and ginger ale. Make sure you take the Unisom before you go to bed, obviously, since it makes you tired. It did help me all day, though.
