I don't, but I do have a comment about mats or rugs just inside the door....make sure that it is large enough to stand on and still close the door.
We had rain a couple of days ago and my boots were wet. I wiped them outside my business partner's front door, but wanted to slip them off when I got inside and it was almost impossible to get inside, close the door and stay on the rug so that I didn't step on her hardwood floor. It was kind of like playing Twister. ;p

Nope, but my entry is tile. I used to have one but it was some cheap one I got at Big Lots that said "welcome" in Dutch, I think. I just remember that it wasn't German but it was very close.
I don't. I find that a mat inside is way harder to keep the floor clean...it is way easier to just mop the floor when it gets wet or dirty than it is to have to lift up a mat, vacuum a mat, and hang a mat up to dry when it is soaking wet.
We have one from crate and barrel. I think its called thirsty dots. It was about $40, but its really thin, easily vacuums and you can hose it off if you are so inclined. I have that then a nice runner.

Yep--we have a white and teal chevron patterned rug from Nate Berkus (Target) inside our front door. We have hardwood but I hate coming in the door with wet feet and stepping onto hardwood. I like a place to wipe my feet off first.

In our basement yes. Our dogs usually go in and out that door, so we always have it down so they don't track in too much junk. However, right now it's a cheesy christmas one b/c it was cheap. We replace them so frequently that we started thinking it wasn't a bad idea to get a cheesy cheap one!
We have HW floors right to the door. While snow is never a concern (LOL), rain is. During back to college time last year, HD had 4x6 area rugs for $10. Most were just plain bound carpet, but the one I got is plain carpet with a small lattice texture. It's perfect for in front of the door because it's big enough like TBM said, and I don't care if it gets ruined.

We have one... I think we got it from lowes or Home Depot. It is large. Plenty of room to get in take off winter boots, close the door, and block a cat that is trying to run out.. All while carrying shopping bags or snowboard lol
It's 3x5 indoor/outdoor area rug from Costco, under $20 I think. We have tile, and a mat outside, but when it rains its too slippery. Had to choose the rug carefully, nothing any thicker would fit under the opening door.
