I went to the eye doctor this morning and they dilated my eyes which isnt usually a big deal but the left pupil has already gone back to the normal size and my right eye is is still dilated so I look like the ultimate freakshow. I am pretty sure that people were looking at me crazy when we were running errands after the appointment and I was wearing sunglasses then when i took them off I look cracked out.
On a happy note my vision hasn't changed at all since last year yay! This means that hopefully lasik is in my future.

I have had retinal tears before so they have to make sure that I don't have any additional tears or that the previous tears aren't back. I am all sorts of eyeball fun.
I'm sorry PPD. They do me about every other time and it always sucks. The worst was the time I couldn't find someone to drive me so I had to sit in my car in the parking lot for an hour waiting for them to un-dilate enough to drive. Hate it so much.
Ugh that sucks. Are your special sunglasses super attractive like mine were?
The place I went didn't say anything as I walked to my car and hopped in. Didn't notice till I'd pulled out of the lot that I couldn't see anything closer than the car in front of me. Awesome.

At my checkup a couple months ago I shelled out the cash to do a retinal scan instead of dilation. It was nice not to deal with the dilation, but my eyes were not very cooperative and they had to re-do the scan several times. I still haven't decided if it was worth the hassle. :/

I could have had the scan but it was $35 and well I am cheap so i just opted for the regular drop dilation. Luckily fi had gone with me so we could run some errands after so he drove after the appointment (I always forget that they have to dilate my eyes).
Malibu that sucks that they gave you no warning, I have been wearing contacts since i was 8 years old have had my eyes dilated since I was 7 years old so I know what to expect and just wear my own sunglasses since they are better than what they provide.
I have this horrible fear of my eyes so I have a hard time w/ eye drops or letting people do eye drops. I tell them this every time I go to the eye doctor, but they still try to dilate. It never usually works and they end up getting upset with me. I hate the eye doctor more than anything.

This is me. I have an eyeball phobia and the doc has had to learn to let me do the 'roll the drops in from the edge' trick.
You should have seen me in January when Buffy managed to scratch my frickin eyeball.
Urgent care and I had a problem. (eventually, the doctor let me put in the drops myself. But holy hell, I couldn't read below line 2 on the eye chart and it was bad for SO many reasons--the doc was wonderful and I told him I had an eyeball phobia and he was very understanding. Which is good, when he first tried, I literally laid on my hands, had them interlocked under my butt, and I still managed to smack his hand (yes, literally) away when he tried to put in the drops.)
