I called to schedule my first OB appointment with a new doctor (wasn't crazy about my last one) and they won't see new patients after 3pm. I now have a 10:30am appointment on a weekday (since they're closed weekends) so I have to take off most of a day of work. I teach in a really small school without a great sub system, so that kinda sucks.
On the bright side, my birthday is this week! Yay!

Happy early birthday, Lorelai! What a weird rule. Maybe they want to have plenty of time to talk to new patients?
The good: I'm not queasy today (yet)! Small victories. H and I are going to look at houses this afternoon and I'm pretty excited.
The bad: My stupid cat won't stop peeing on the carpet of our rented apartment. We just started him on antidepressants and I really hope they help because I am so over cleaning up the pee.
Good luck with your new doctor! How weird that they won't see new patients in later time slots... At least you will be able to go after school from now on if you like this doctor, Right?
Also, your baby in your sig is SOOOO adorable! What's his name?
My random is that we got maternity pics taken this weekend, and I'm excited/nervous to see how they turn out. The photographer sent me a couple today, and I like them, but they weren't the ones I was most excited to see. So hopefully I LOVE the rest!
I'm off with my (almost) 3 year old today. We had his b-day party this weekend. It was so fun and I just love him so much. He was such an easy baby and he is a dream as a toddler. I guess that means I'm going to get a bad sleeper crankypants this time? Gah! I hope not.
Sake--cute!! You have some good looking weather for pictures!
good: I finally let go of my dreams to wear pants that buttoned and am wearing maternity waistband...why did I not realize earlier this are way more comfortable!! I got my last payment for something I did this summer so I feel really comfortable with my X-mas budget!!
bad: I need to meal plan for the week and actually follow through with it. Our budget for the month got thrown off with a car repair, new garbage disposal, and DH needing new running shoes/colder work out clothes so no running out for food whenever I want.
My anxiety is through the roof today. I hope that a good workout gets it under control. It's going to be an expensive month as well as next month. All while we pay of some stupid debt that has been lingering. I know it could be much worse but it's making me cranky.
Aw, Sakelp, your pic is so cute! I stalked your thread on ML as well and I've determined you're adorable pregnant.
My son is Max he is 8 months old this week and wonderful. I'm getting exercise chasing him all over the house (he just started crawling). Naturally I'm expecting this next one to be a perfect terror.
The good: I managed to get a ton of writing done on my NaNo novel today, so now I"m only a little behind, not three days behind! Yay me!
The bad: I need to stop writing and go out to paint the stairwell to the apartment. Even less fun: I'll have to wear a painter's mask, because it's Behr, which is not low-VOC. H doesn't want to do it; he says the mask is enough and it's my job, he's done the rest of it (and he has worked really hard, props to H). Siiiiiiiiiiigh.
Happy almost birthday, Lorelei, and I also think that kid in your signature is Too Much. Get those baby gates up stat.
It's a long weekend here (although I don't work Mondays so every weekend is long for me). But, we will be leaving Whistler soon and heading back to the city. My baby played in snow for the first time yesterday. He lived through winter last year but I would not say he was aware, so much. I'll post a picture later from my phone.

AWWWWWW, thanks! ;D You're too kind. My bump isn't very round, so I find that i feel fat more than pregnant, and I don't really like that.
Max seems awesome. H's brother has an almost 7 month old, who just started army crawling everywhere. She is SO fast now! It's the cutest thing ever.
Joolz- I LOVE that you love your dog! People have asked us about how we will deal with 2 big dogs and a baby, and I'm like, well they're all family, so we'll just have to figure it out! Our pups aren't going ANYWHERE. We are excited to raise a kid with 2 awesome dogs. Everyone else will just have to get used to the idea!
Seriously, watching him with Jimmy the dog is one of the best things ever. As is taking G to the dog park and seeing him run around, be unafraid and loving dogs.

Alzi- We just bought Cat Attract yesterday. Problem Cat just used his litter box AND covered up his mess, which is huge for him. I hope it continues to work!
I hope it does! My cat would poop in the box, but pee right out front. For years I didn't know what to do and just put a puppy pee pad in front of the box. This litter is a miracle worker. Just make sure you clean the previous soiled spots well so they don't smell like urine. Good luck!!
I called the OB to schedule for first appointment/ultrasound. They do first ultrasounds at my doc during your 8th week based off of LMP. The lady who was scheduling my appt then told me that'd be the week of Dec. 17th. In my counting of weeks, that seems like it'd be week 10. But she assured me it wasn't. 2 weeks is a lot of time in my book when it comes to my first ultrasound. I can hardly wait! Dec. 19th can't come soon enough.

sakelp - nice picture! Your bump is so cute!
I'm terrified of how our two dogs and one cats will be with a baby. Mostly the dogs. I love the dogs, but they are small and they are used to being the center of attention. And they really are little shits. But we love them.
I have my Integrated/NT Screening test today. I am nervous. I just want them to say "everything's fine, super low risk" and go about my business. I feel like I could puke.
