Inspired by InBetweenDays' awesome pics, are you all up for starting a weekly pip thread? I would love to see the cool places that we all get to enjoy. I'll kick it off, but if anyone wants to make a change, please feel free.
This pic is about 2 miles from my house, at a trailhead in the high desert of Albuquerque, NM. It was 76 at the end of my run, and the sun was beating down. A beautiful day here in the SW.
Gorgeous picture, Kam! I had to google a pic, but this is my running path for Tuesday bridges and then for most of my long runs. The dolphin usually swim along with us. The bridge in the background is a beast.

Ahhh, gorgeous! I was hoping you'd respond with a pic. Hopefully you can catch a dolphin pic for next week The only animals I really see are prairie dogs & little lizards.
I feel like I'm the only one that never runs with their phone. I guess maybe if I ran alone more or ran when it wasn't light out I might, but I don't have a single picture from when I've actually been running. My running group has a bunch of people in it so I always have someone I meet up with. Sometimes the dolphin are out at the start of the run. If they are, I'll be sure to snap a pic then.
I took this picture on my favorite running path. I am originally from a hilly place, so it still fascinates me to be able to see forever here!
Does it make you feel like you are running forever without any progress? We were running at the beach one day and decided to end with a few miles ON the beach. We were running to a hotel in the distance and it felt like it took forever to get there since you could see way down the coast. We didn't realize how far away it really was. lol
So far, so gorgeous on these pics! I love seeing nature in a way that I never would if I wasn't out in it. It's really awesome to see what everyone else sees... places that we may never see irl.

Well it's funny because there are so many times, like when I see the dolphin, or the cute fuzzy baby geese that are everywhere right now, or on the long group runs when the sun is rising over the river and I think to myself, "I wish I had my phone right now!" Apparently not enough to actually ever carry it though. lol Luckily google helps me participate.
I hope others respond. This reminds me of the "Rave Run" section in Runner's World. I love seeing other runners routes!

I don't feel that way, but my H definitely does, which is funny because he ran on a beachside bike path until he moved here. It helps that there are mile markers every 1/4 mile on the path, so I can see that I'm making progress. Also, since I started running with a stroller, I know each and every previously undetectable hill on that path.

This is the preserve I ran at yesterday- DH banned me from running out there after yesterday... This creeper guy came running up behind me and made some comment about women being out there alone-- he was running himself so im sure hes harmless... But DH still isnt to keen on idea. Bummer
ETA: Yesterday was the first time i've ever been out there alone. I understand DH's POV, but I get SO SICK of running on the same 1.5mile stretch of sidewalk..

This looks very familiar. I grew up there. I didn't know there were dolphins in the river!
Not a running photo, but this is what 5:30 am CrossFit looked like this morning when I showed up. We did team shuttle runs with the medicine balls as a warmup (pick one up, run back to the start, pick up the next in line, run it back to the start, and so on...next person in line had to put them back). The sun rises during our class.
Brie: what a way to start the day! Beautiful. MrsJacinthe: how gorgeous is that! Stingshark: that's such a bummer . Hopefully you can find someone that can run it with you? Emily: what a sweetie!

I never would have guessed it either until I moved here. I know the St John's leads out to the ocean, but I never would have guessed that they'd be so far up river that we'd see them downtown! It has to be a few miles, right? It still never fails to amaze me. DH was at a work dinner at River City Brewing Company and they were playing and splashing all around.
I love seeing all of these pics! Keep them coming.

This is the park I run at. Also the site of the start of my first 5K. Its 1.5 miles around each lap with mile markers. Greatly helped my training when I first started running. I googled this pic.
Great pic, Kams! We just moved to Albuquerque a few months ago.
Wow, awesome! How are you liking it? We've been here for 4 years now. Late Spring & Fall are fabulous. If you run or do tris, we'll have to meet up at a race or something

I grew up in Albuquerque. I love it! I'm down in Carlsbad now, and while I still enjoy living in the desert, Albuquerque >>>> Carlsbad.
clseale--I never take pictures on my run either, and I agree that running next to open fields make it seem like the run is going on FOREVER! I hate those parts of my run!
I did not take these pictures but they are both from along my route:
