My first vent is that my period is two weeks late and I am not pregnant. I have taken several tests, the most recent being this past Friday.
This is my second month off BC so I KNOW that things can be wonky, I guess I just wasn't expecting it since last month I had a normal cycle. I am just really, really worried that I have an ovarian cyst. In the past when I came off BC I had two rupture and it's just excruciating.
Today I call my doctor and they say I can either wait a week and take another pg test (wouldn't it definitely be positive by now??), or make an appointment to come in. I wanted to come in and find out if I have a cyst, and then if I do have one, find out what can be done. At least if I knew I had one I could be somewhat prepared for the pain.
My second vent is that I just started a new teaching job and I can't take any time off right now. My doctor has ONE available appointment this week at a time that totally doesn't work. I call another office and the next available appointment they have is December 12th. I explained that I'm worried about a cyst possibly bursting and it's like they don't care. I took the 12/12 appointment and I guess will just hope for the best... ugh.
Even though you had a normal cycle right after going off BCP doesn't mean your cycle will be normal.
Here is a copy an paste from a post I put on another thread in response Tj come off BCP:
Not to stress you out but this sounds like me last year.
I went off BCP in may 2011. I had 28 day cycles like clock work until sept 2011, then nothing at CD65 a doctor (not my family as i was working out of town) did a blood test, (after ~10 BFN from POAS). Test still neg, did more blood work at ~CD80.
She kept saying I was stressed an that was it. I scheduled an appointment with my family doctor the next time I was home. (~CD90) He gave me a prescription for pills to take for 10 days. After you stop them I had 2 periods in January. Then nothing again in February. So he then put me back on BCP for 3 months to try and regulate me. After I went off the BCP in may of 2012 I have had 45-50 day cycles. They are slowly getting shorter each month.
We are now actively TTC as of this month as my doctor has some concerns about my cycle, but as long as I chart an keep track of everything he says that he will keep an eye on things as see how it goes.
I hope your situation turns out way better because its been a long year an a half to get to this point.
