So I have some Wondfo OPKs and the package says that a test is positive when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line. I was just wondering, if the test line is close (pic to follow), does that mean that ovulation is coming soon? Does the line tend to grow darker and darker until it reaches positive?
Should I start obsessively testing (as if I wasn't already, lol!)? And yes, there are two because I took two this afternoon (with the same pee!) after worrying that I messed the first one up
Mine, at least, do get progressively darker until the positive, and then quickly get lighter. If these were my tests, I would guess that the positive would come within 12 hours or so. Your body may take more or less time to get there, but I'd assume that the positive is on its way. Test again before bed! :-)
If you test for a few days, you'll see no line, then a faint line that gets darker over a day or two ("fade in"), then a "positive", then it fades back out (more quickly than it fades in). When you start to see a faint line, increase your testing (twice a day should be plenty) to see the fade in pattern.
You might miss the actual "positive" based on when you test and the length of your LH surge, but if you test twice a day, you can infer when the positive would have been.
Also? Remember your fertile window starts before ovulation, as sperm can chill out for a few days waiting for an egg. So when you start seeing a faint line, it's sexy time!!!!
Thanks ladies! Took one last night and it was the same. I just took another one late this morning and it is about the same, maybe a little lighter. Should I assume yesterday's was positive? I don't really have a lot of cm going on, although it's hard to tell cause we've been doing a lot and there is, ahem, a lot of other stuff going on in there (tmi, sorry!). I guess I'll just keep seducing h until I get a temp shift...
took another one this afternoon and the line is almost faded away completely, so I guess I'll call yesterday a positive and keep on with the BD until my temps go up (or one of us collapses, lol!).
Thanks for the help and advice. I will definitely look into getting some digitals next month...if I need to <---wishful thinking
