Hi! I am taking a group of 27 high school students to NYC in a few weeks and desperately need help finding restaurants that are affordable and can handle this big of a group. We are staying By Herald Square and Penn Station area. Any suggestions? thanks!
Agreed. Carmine's or John's pizzeria in Times Square.
I don't know if this would be too exotic for high schoolers, but there's a Peruvian restaurant called Pio Pio with absolutely delicious, reasonable rotisserie chicken. Their Times Square location (44th and 10th) is huge.
I don't know that there's any Shake Shack locations where you could get seating for 28. At the ones I've been to, it is hard enough to find seating for 4.
I'd definitely make sure you have reservations wherever you go.
For Shake Shack, I was thinking they wouldn't have to sit together. The kids could just order on their own and hang in Madison Square Park.
You don't think that it would be a bit of a huge clusterfuck to have 27 teenagers waiting in the park for an hour for their shack burgers?
No. They could take turns waiting in line, hanging out and chatting, checking themselves out on camera, etc. Wouldn't you rather wait in a long ass line with a group of friends than by yourself or with one other person anyways? I think that these type of places where you order and pay for your own food is better for big groups. I'm just assuming that these kids don't have to chained together the whole trip.
