Just get the new address. In the few checks you'll right between then and now, nobody will care. If they ask, just explain, most people are good about it. It all goes back to your bank more than your address anyways. I walked around for checks for 2 years with my old address. I just crossed out and rewrote where it mattered, left it where it didn't. No one seemed to mind.
Our checks still have our old address from 3 years ago on them. We never write checks, so it's taking a while to use them up. If it bothers you, just cross out the address and put your current address on whatever checks you write between now and when you close. That's usually what I do to have our current address on there.
How are you ladies getting checks with your new address? I tried to order new checks just before I closed/moved and they would only mail them to the address on my checks. I obviously couldn't get mail at my (soon to be) new house so I had to wait until after we closed to place my order.

I don't order through the bank (they're overpriced, the own downside of having a small credit union) and I buy from like deluxe checks or something. I can't remember. They gave me the option to ship to a different address.
