Sorry to keep coming here with questions but I really have nowhere else to turn.
I am waiting today for my 2nd Beta draw, the first one did not look good (28, progesterone 6.3). I am supposed to be flying to Canada today for over 2 weeks. I am considering postponing my trip until mid next week until I know what is going on with my Ute.
I suffer with anxiety so I cannot tell if I am being ridiculous or sensible. I may or may not find out the result before I leave to go to the airport, the thought of being in Canada where it would be harder to have further blood tests and monitoring is kind of freaking me out.
The only negative consequence of changing my trip is that my friend has taken a day off work to take me to the airport, so I would have to tell her what is going on. I would rather she didn't know but it is not the end of the world.
Did your doctor discuss likely outcomes with you? If X, then Y? Did he give you odds? If the pregnancy's not viable, there's nothing they can do, so it won't matter whether you're here or Canada. But maybe he indicated something to the contrary?

I got nothing but 'it is not looking good and we hopefully know more when we get the 2nd levels back' from the Dr.
I am going to call them when they open at 9, hopefully they have the results back.

This is so hard, I'm sure
I'd probably call, tell them of your concerns, and see what they suggest. I'd ask them to be frank; give you hard % stats if they can. At this point, if it's not viable, or not looking viable, the travel plans won't make much of a difference as to what the outcome will be. I'm sure it's safe to travel regardless.
If you need to postpone, there's absolutely no reason why you need to tell your friend the reason. Just say something came up last minute, and you're so sorry but the trip had to be pushed back. And make other travel arrangements to the airport that do not involve her if it requires her taking a day off work perhaps.

Does your DH have an opinion?
Thanks for your reply.
I decided to cancel, my 2nd beta came back at a whopping 30, 2 higher than the previous test 48 hours before. Obviously this is not a viable pregnancy but I would like to see how the situation progresses, maybe I can learn something that will prevent it from happening again.
My DH is already in Canada working, he told me it was my decision, but he supports whatever I wanted to do. I have another blood test on Saturday, hopefully my number will have started to drop and I will start bleeding soon.
