We're currently turkey fryer shopping, and I keep coming across oil free fryers-apparently they use radiant heat to cook the turkey and get the outside nice and crispy. Does anyone have any experience with them? We'd be using this on Saturday and will have a house full of people so I'd rather not get one and then not have it work out well...I have no problem getting a traditional fryer, but the thought of not having to deal with the big thing of oil is nice. Thanks!
We have only used ours once but I was very pleased with how it came out. I brine the turkey and it was moist inside and crispy outside. I didn't want the risk of an oil fryer and I didn't want to spend all that money every year for the oil. we are happy with it.
