i bought one similar to this as my "mom" swimsuit. i need something to cover my stretch marks at least until they fade. i haven't worn a one piece suit since i was like 7, so i feel super awkward in anything other than a bikini...but my belly isn't ready for it.

TBH, it's NMS. I'd still feel really exposed in something like that, but I have body image issues anyway. The ones I like are on Lane Bryant's website (lots of coverage/support for bigger ladies).
it's ok, what about something retro? I keep seeings ones like this and think they are totally adorable even though I haven't worn a one-piece in forever.

I agree with picks, I think that still exposes A LOT. But I'm a prude when it comes to swimsuits. I like the look of the swimsuit and think it's really pretty (the ruffle is CUTE!), but the exposure of the sides and boobs (it looks like big boobs would fall right out) would have me nervous.

the one i bought doesn't open nearly as low. but it also has ruffle.
those are super cute amanda, where'd you find the photos? i don't know how i'd feel in it though cause it might be *too* covered up...
those are, of course, from the terrible website modcloth. ugh. their stuff is SO cute and yet so expensive. I also haven't pulled the trigger because I'm sure H would give me a big and I'm pretty pro two-piece. But if I find one for a good price I think I'll do it because they are just too cute.
mod cloth takes a long time in shipping, right? and what about returns? i've never ordered anything from them. and holy crap, i'm leaving in two weeks.

hmm, I don't think the shipping was too bad, but it is a sucky policy. I think I lost my shipping $$ although they will refund the item. But I keep seeing new banners about shipping stuff, so they may have new policies. I know there are several retro websites with swimsuits though so you could look around a little.

ahhhh..i don't think i'd order it anyway. it's super cute, but i dunno if it would work for me.
and it's a mix and match suit so you pick the style bottom you want to go with it. That's the other thing I like about Lands End.. so easy to create your own look. Also they have a great return policy!
Well that's a fail. I tried on the one I bought today (I really hate trying it on in the store) and it doesn't fit. It's a large and it's way too small. BOO. I refuse XL. I will explore some other options at the mall tomorrow.
i really like the 3rd one EIP posted..but i like solids...i also don't want to spend that much cause i feel like i won't be wearing it for more than just this trip....cause.....hopefully by next year my body will be back to normal?

here are some similar solid slightly cheaper versions.
psst. sara, see above. i did try it on. and it covers my stretch marks just fine (they're very centralized), but for some weird reason, it's too small/short. which then makes boob coverage minimal. i need a different suit!
