Oh yeah, blood donation really messes my run up if I do it too soon. It's really surprising how much it weakens me, even the next day.
I went running yesterday and ate healthy again. I think I had ovulation pain yesterday (a sharp pain in my left lower abdomen that lasted from morning until night) and it slowed me down. Does anyone else get that? I suppose it could be another random pain...it went away by this morning, for the most part. Anyway, it was hard to run, but I'm glad that I did it.
Today is a rest day for me. Hopefully, I will eat healthy-ish, but it isn't looking good as a component of my lunch is tortilla chips (but hey, they're organic at least!). Oh, and they are giving us all a free pie for teacher appreciation today so, um yeah...challenging!
I finally ran a few miles outside on the bike path today. Considering we got a blizzard and 15+ inches of snow last week kind of cramped my runs. I despise treadmill running. I took one of my pups with me today for motivation too. I got to get my butt back in running shape, because I have a race next week!
