I've had acupuncture done in the past, when I had neck problems and hip problems. I have the feeling it did speed up the relief. Haven't ever done it for anything else though.

Needles freak me out. But alternate medicines are fascinating to me. Chinese culture survived forever without Western pills, so it has to count for something, right??
I have been going to acupuncture for years because my insurance covers it. I go for neck pain and keeping colds away during the school year.
Luckily my acupuncturist specializes in fertility and women's health so I have been focusing on that for now. I love it and find it very relaxing. I have also really liked sharing my chart and being able to talk to a specialist at the beginning of my process. ;D

I have gone for my IBS and anxiety before. I am thinking of going again soon. My acupuncturist specializes in fertility too. I also find it very relaxing.
I go to community acupuncture and love it. It's a lot cheaper than acupuncture in a clinic (you choose how much you want to pay) so it's a good way to try it out and see if you like it. Instead of a private room, you're in a bigger room with multiple tables or chairs. Most of the time I'm alone but sometimes there are other people there and I like talking to the hippies that go so I don't mind. One time I went and there was a woman who was overdue with her first child and had to run out of there because she was late for pregnant belly-dancing.
I wouldn't let a fear of needles stop you from going. They are so thin that they don't feel anything like a shot type of needle. It's so relaxing, I feel great for days afterward.
