Seriously dog! Im nice enough to go fill up your dish which you are licking every.last.drop out of, & in return you follow me & then behind my back put 2 paws on the counter to see what I was eating? (5 min ago, so its all gone). Not cool dog, not cool.

:Y: Lol. Sneaky little shit. Thank GOD Zoey hasn't figured out she could reach the counter if she stood up on her hind legs. Let's hope she never puzzles that one out.
Our Weim, Perla, will stand on her tippy toes to see if she can grab anything off the counter while I'm standing right. there.
She's also none too quiet so I can hear her paws hit the counters when I'm in the living room. It's sort of funny to see her "how did you know?!" face, but still.
Also, hi :-) I liked this board on TN, but never got around to intro-ing myself.

Ugh, D is the worst counter surfer. She does it all the time while I'm standing right there...I feel like I'm always shooing her off the table or the counter.

Sable is terrible about it. She will side eye you to see if you're looking at her, and even if you are, she STILL tries it. WTH, dog. WTH.
My favorite is when she stares at you, stands really still, and just reaches her tongue out. Like, "I'm not REALLY on the counter if just my tongue touches it!"

I have never had that problem with my dog, but my fiance's dog does it the second you turn your back. Its taken some getting used to remembering not to leave things sitting out!

BWAAHAHAHAHA!!! That mental image totally made me crack up!

C does this too!! He's so damn tall that he can stand w/all 4 paws on the floor, tip his nose up & it reaches about an inch higher then the countertop, so he can just walk along nose up sniffing the edge of the countertop & then he can get most of his tongue up there too if he smells something good.... This happens most of the time, the countersurfing only happens every once in awhile.
Every GSP I've come across is a counter surfer. I blame it on that GSP nose. Seriously how could you resist when you can smell each individual ingredients and know it's got to be good.
