Let's talk about my cm. ;D

How long after sex would you say the semen lingers around in you? I am on CD 9. We dtd two days ago, CD7, and just now when I checked, I have what looks like ewcm.

I always have a tough time distinguishing ewcm from semen. It's a bit early for me to O, although I have O'd once on CD10. I thought maybe it could just be leftover semen, but its been two days since sex, so would it still be in there two days later?

Ugh. Maybe this would be where OPKs would come in handy, huh?

It usually lingers about 1 day.

FF says that EWCM is clearer and more shiny, but I can never tell the difference either.

Another reason I just bought the OPK.

Plus I've been O'ing late (like day 24), which is just too many days for me to convince myself it's EWCM when it isn't.

I think mine usually clears in 24 hours or less. If its been 2 days, I'd be pretty confident it's EWCM.

Even further TMI.....if you go #2 during that time, the pushing effort usually expels most of the left over semen. I can't believe I just said that, lol.

I think in this case it sounds like ewcm. Give it a good stretch; they say that semen will stretch a bit, then break apart whereas ewcm will continue to be stretchy. Also, doesn't one float and one sink in the toilet??

I can't tell the difference, but according to TCOYF you can do kegels to expell and then check.
