I love when people break out (what you know they think is) a fancy word and it doesn't even mean what they think it means.
The What to Expect forum is almost worse than The Bump. I check it out occasionally and there are some MORONS there that make a lot of the Bumpies look like Rhodes Scholars!
Baby Center has the best pregnancy calendar and other stuff I like but everyday I get an email with a link to the forum highlights and it's always stupid crap like "should I bring my mother to my first appointment?"

I loved browsing those What to Expect boards on my phone while nursing G. The hot topics board is INSANE. Or it used to be. I haven't been in about a year.
They expressed it really stupidly, but I can kinda get the sentiment. Take for example the sweet potato. I don't know about you ladies, but in my grocery they range from "are you sure that's a sweet potato? Not some sort of misshapen baby carrot?" all the way up to "holy crap, am I making a full meal out of that?!" They should use something that comes in a general size - like a pencil. Most people know what size an unsharpened pencil is.

Totally understand the sentiment. I'm sure we all understand it.

The 20 gauge shotgun shell suggestion is pretty lolworthy, though. Um, okay. I totally have a shotgun shell in my ute, fantastic.
