This will make year four of spending the day with two of our good friends and their two sons. We rotate houses and plan the meal together. This year K is making a stuffed mushroom app, the stuffing, and cheesy potatoes. I'm making risotto balls (well I'm buying and heating this one), and a broccoli dish. I may also add in a bread or a second veggie dish depending on if I find something that sounds interesting.
Oops, forgot my PIP. My favorite T-Day food will always be the mashed potatoes. Oddly enough we aren't having any this year, and this has me rather nervous.
We are getting take out for 99% of it. We are doing the turkey trot 1 miler with the kids (walking it!) And then going to museums....so no time to cook.
Honey Baked Ham (FIL doesn't eat poultry)
From Boston Market: Mac and Cheese Creamed spinach Sweet potato casserole Cinnamon apples
L is making: sauteed green beans Cranberry relish Carrot cake
My favorite will be the sweet potato casserole. Mmmmm.
We have finally escaped the icky part of the family and are hosting!
I am making; corn bread,cheddar biscuits,turkey,stuffing,mashed potatoes,green bean casserole,corn,sweet potatoes,cranberry sauce,pumpkin pie,pecan pie,chocolate cream pie and whipped cream.
I cannot wait to eat the greenbean casserole in all it's trashtastic glory!
I have also convinced myself that hand painting pinecones for the centerpiece, freezing cranberries on toothpicks to use as ice,a trivia game and tying cinnamon sticks to the napkins is not at all too much. There may be butter shaped like a fall leaf if I have time. I smoke crack, but in a good way

I am going to cook this year (we leave for the IL's on Friday). I am going to make Martha Stewart's "Perfect Roasted Chicken", mashed red potatoes, baked fresh sweet potatoes (for C and the Kiddos), green beans, stuffing, corn muffins and/or crescent rolls, and pumpkin pie (okay I did buy the pie).
This year we're going to my parents house. It'll just be the five of us. Usually I like to host, or at least cook a few things, but I haven't figured out how to take care of the baby and accomplish other things yet. My mom wants me to make dessert, but I haven't decided what yet (meaning I haven't thought of anything that will be quick enough if the baby is having a bad day).

It will be our first Thanksgiving in our new home, I am so excited to start traditions there with E and family. My folks are here through the weekend. My fingers are crossed that A will get Thursday-Sunday off work as she's been promised. I will be doing the majority of the cooking, but my mom will help with some of the side dishes. We'll be having turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, dressing, rolls, cranberry sauce, a green salad, fruit salad and maybe corn casserole. And of course pie for dessert, I'm making pumpkin, my mom is making huckleberry...yum!

We're either staying home and having veggie loaf, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts and maybe stuffing/dressing and vegan gravy (if I can make some I enjoy); or we're heading to our friends' annual vegan Thanksgiving potluck. Last year I made C an roast chicken, but I'm not sure I'm up to it this year.
We're going to MA to spend the holiday with my sister and BIL and BIL's extended family. BIL cooks for us. I know so far that there will be turkey (usually one regular and one heritage), homemade rolls, mashed potatoes, stuffing, brussel sprouts, broccoli rabe, butterscotch pie, pumpkin pie, and pecan pie. Who knows what other surprises will await us. Yum. It's pretty well established in my family that homemade rolls are my favorite part of a holiday meal, and BIL is very good about indulging me on this one.
This is the first year we haven't traveled for Thanksgiving. I'm very, very happy about that
We're having dinner with my parents; my sister is coming home for the weekend, one of my dad's friends is joining us, and our friends and their son are coming over for dessert later. This is on the menu (Jen and I are bring the starred items):
*Dates wrapped in bacon Savory Party Bread *Macaroni and cheese Wild Rice Stuffing with Apples and Sausage Ham Turkey Mashed potatoes with giblet gravy *Eggnog Pumpkin Pie *Lemon Meringue Pie Carrot Cake (this is Jen's birthday cake - her birthday is on Thanksgiving this year)

We're celebrating with my family on Friday, but it's always kind of weird stuff and we really wanted a traditional Thanksgiving dinner made in our new kitchen so I'm cooking. My wife is working OT on Thursday but she'll be home around 3:15 or so. My sister and her step-daughter are coming over. We'll see how I do!
I'm making a turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, rolls, green bean casserole, corn casserole, a sweet potato recipe of my MIL's that my wife specifically requested (mashed with a brown sugar/pecan mixture in and on top, baked so the sugar carmelizes, it's really good), and we have a couple of pies. I think that's it. I HOPE that's it!

I really like mushroom gravy as a vegetarian option, but my recipe (well, Martha Stewart's recipe) has butter. Maybe this Whole Foods recipe?
We're going to C's brother's mother-in-law's house for Thanksgiving, and the menu will be very traditional - turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, and a veggie dish or two. I am bringing gluten-free mini pumpkin pies, and I'm sure there will be other pies for dessert as well.
