Spray tan- in the buff?

I'll be getting my second ever spray tan tomorrow... mostly because I want to feel pretty when the pool opens this weekend and I have an awkward belly. However, the first time I went, it was to a friend and I wore panties/ strapless bra. The lines were so awkward and DH didn't really like it. I am going to another friend, who also does my hair ( every one is friends on this base, lol) tomorrow morning.

Do I go nakee? Would you?? She will forever know what I look like naked. While I'm sure she wouldn't offer this with out being professional, she'll still always know.

My BFF works at a salon and did my spray tan but I wore my swimming suit because I'm a prude. M (and probably most dudes) thinks all girlfriends see each other naked, but not in my circle!

She said most people go topless and wear a thong.

I'd do it. As long as you trust her to be professional and not blab around about your stretch marks or something.

I just had my first two ever spray tans over the last month for my cousin's wedding. I wore panties and when topless. I didn't have to worry about the underwear tan lines though because of my dress. I would probably go naked if I did it again. The girl who did mine was super nice and really professional and it didn't really seem all that awkward to be standing there in nothing but my underwear.

I'd probably do it, or at least topless. Except, I'd have to figure out a weird boob lift maneuver without smudging any of the spray. Big ole' boobies after breast feeding =/= perky. Just sayin'.

I tried that and had to go let a spa that used the gun fix it because even with following directions, it was just too streaky. And prom was that weekend, yo! I just used underwear and a strapless bra, that time. I certainly wasn't going to argue with my mother about why I couldn't wear undergarments and risk the tanlines.

I'd have no problem with it. Then again, I've let complete strangers see me naked (no suits at Japanese onsen, plus, I have a skinny dipping past). It's really no big deal to me.

At worst, I'd get an inexpensive thong.

I have to ask, though, does it make sense to get a spray tan when you're going swimming? I've only gotten one once, and it was b/c I was post-winter and had to go to a wedding. Won't it come off in the water?

But if you're swimming for hours, wouldn't that affect your skin even if it's just pool water?

If I was super pale and planning on spending time in a bathing suit outside, I think I'd go for the cancer-tan to at least have a little base protection. Spray tans won't prevent a burn, right?

Thanks girls! The automated thing isn't an option around here.... Japanese don't like to be tan. There's not tanning salons around. If there was, I can't imagine how expensive it would be when it was all said and done, and how far I ould have to train to get there!

I decided to go topless with a cheap thong. I can do that. Boobs are nbd, though I'll likely have to lift them at some point. *sigh* I'll let you know how it goes. With all the skin problems I've been having, I'm worried it won't look right.. but that's part of the reason I'm doing it now.

For some reason I forgot where you were. Yeah, those communities in Japan are pretty small. I got a Brazilian done while in Misawa and it occurred to me that the woman very likely had seen the snatch of a lot of people I knew. But, hey, she's got to be discrete or she's out of a job. That's the other side of it being a really small community.

I've seen girlfriends naked. Either when we were skinny dipping or when someone got too drunk, and we had to shower her off (thankfully the former is a much more common experience). It's really not something you ever think about again.

I'm just glad to hear I'm not the only one who has to lift her boobs back up into the "proper" position.
