Well that was quite a surprise, eh? I can't wait to see Jay's reaction. I was devastated for Mitchell and Cam though. I can't imagine how stressful and heartbreaking adoption can be. The telenova story line was funny, but not the best they've ever done. I loved the end with Luke giving all the mail back, except for the ticket from him and Manny driving the car.

It made me sad at the end, it just seems really unfair. I wonder how Mitchell/Cam are going to take the news, especially in a comedy. Hopefully they get their baby soon.
Sigh. Modern Family isn't my favorite show, and this finale again illustrated why. The emotional moment with Mitchell and Cam at the end was really ruined for me by the ridiculous telenovela thing at the hospital right before it. I felt like they cheapened a legitimately devastating situation. Sometimes I feel like these writers have a lot of ideas that they mishmash together randomly...the telenovela thing could've been used somewhere else, you know?
And Gloria being pregnant? Uh, okay.
I'm curious to see how much Haley is going to be on the show now that she's in college. I figured the community college thing was a way to keep her around more.
I love the show, but was really annoyed with the Gloria story. How will this be funny? Oh, haha, we are taking a break from adoption due to a number of failed matches only to see 2 people with a surprise pregnancy?
i thought last night was amazing!! I was so sad for Cameron and Mitchell but I loved that it was 'real'. Same with the Gloria storyline - I think thats a great opening for some hysterical scenes next season (can you imagine everyone's reaction?!)
I loved the scene w/ cam and Mitchell at the gas station. Just so sweet and so real. SO real.
I didn't mind it coming after the telenova thing. This show is a comedy - the telenova thing is right in line w/ what they do.
I felt the gas station scene is what they used to remind us how serious and devastating adoption can be. It's taking a comedy down a serious path specifically to remind us that it IS serious and while they are making light of it, it's not light.
Gloria being PG.... I'm annoyed that it's a surprise pregnancy. That aspect of it makes me roll my eyes. But past that - I'm curious to see how it goes.

Yeah- I wasn't feeling last nights episode. The telenovela thing just seemed over the top when contrasted with the botched adoption. They should have did one or the other.
I wonder if Gloria's pregnancy will stick or if they'll write it off as some fluke.

We just watched this last night and I agree with all of the above. Almost seems like Gloria's pregnancy is a jump the shark moment.
