Way back when, just before I started college, my cousin, who lived in the city I was going to go to college in, had a baby. I commuted to and from school from my home town, but regularly spent the night at my cousins. Ofter combined with babysitting for him.
And here we are, 16 years later. My cousin's daughter has just decided that she's going to go to college in my city. And I'm TTC.
How fun would it be if my 2nd cousin who I babysat while in college, would be able to babysit for my children (her 3rd cousins, I guess, but who cares), while she is in college.
I just found out about her prospective school being so close to where we live. Talk about life going full circle.
My cousin use to babysit me when I was little. I babysat her kids when I was growing up. Her son turned 12 in the spring. At his bday party she asked when he will be babysitting for us. (I started babysitting for her once I turned 12)
When my sister and I were little, my dad's boss' daughter used to babysit for us. This was in Oregon. By the time we were teenagers, everyone was living in Virginia and we were babysitting for her kids. It was pretty cool:-) Her kids aren't babysitting for OUR kids (well, my ssiter's kid, and our future kid) because they turned into druggies....but oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
