Friends splitting up.

In the last six months, we've had two sets of friends split. It makes me sad. J and R were together 10 years. C and J were together 7 years. I hate it. I wish life had an everything is perfect button

It's so hard when friends split up. I think it hits a nerve reminding you that relationships are work and that they can be fragile even after many years. It's especially hard if there isn't any obvious problem you can blame.

This is really tough. It often ends up being awkward and disconcerting for all.

For me, I try to remember that we need to keep protecting our relationship and that there are always problems that are never shown in public to others.
