Can anyone tell me about them or just offer advice in general on discounts for booking over a marathon weekend at WDW? I'm considering using them to register since their Goofy registration is discounted and they are offering some of the resorts I'm interested in at a better price.
If I book through Disney, am I right that I shouldn't expect a discount for the hotel room but I can get a discount on park tickets? Any veteran advice on this?
When I ran the Princess half, you got discounted park tickets for you and your whole party with the race registration, not the hotel. You kind of have to hunt for it, but it was there. The discount was significant and basically made my race fee a wash, which was awesome.
I would make sure you book at a host hotel that will have shuttles to and from the start and finish lines. My hotel didn't and getting a taxi was a PITA.
I don't know that they have race recommendations but I really like disneytouristblog.com for great Disney tips in general.
Thanks, Brie. This helps a lot; I've read so much info it's getting muddled. We've decided to stay at a WDW resort for ease of transportation. I would be a stressed out mess otherwise.
The package Marathon Tours is offering then would be good for the room discount. I'm just afraid there's some catch. LOL

No advice on Marathon Tours, but when I did Goofy I stayed at the Polynesian and highly recommend it. I asked for a room near the monorail. On race morning it was a very short walk to the monorail and it took me straight to the start, so I got to sleep in a little more than those who had to catch shuttles and it was so easy. It is one of the more pricey hotels, but if you can swing it, it is completely worth it.
