Sure! Its basically just getting back to the plan we had at adoption time - 1 baby (at a time), short term, and see where it goes from there. Back in May we re-did our license to accommodate another child but between new behaviors to address with Sprout, the youngest baby sister, and general life craziness, we didn't quite feel ready to take another placement. It was definitely a surprise to me what an adjustment period post-adoption can be. You are so busy with court dates, SWs, doctors, visits, ect that once all that goes away, you notice some other things that are in need of addressing...
so, anyway, I think we've done a pretty good job settling in and smoothing out the rough patches and I think the kids are ready (we've been talking to them about "helping more kids" but haven't yet followed through).
Andrea is not yet ready to say yes to a "permanent" 4th, but we are both excited to actually do some fostering. Hopefully it'll quell my baby fever while I wait for her to come around to the idea of a #4.
there are so many mixed emotions, and i don't really even know where this will lead, but we'll see.
