l.a. & san diego vacation

h & i are planning on going to visit family who live in the la area. last time we were there, h really wanted to go to san diego but i didn't want to rush so i said no. this time we're def going to spend a night or two there.

any advice on things to do or see in the la &/or san diego areas??

pacific beach is "the" beach to go to...has a great boardwalk, and miles of sand. maybe not miles, but it sure feels like miles when it's so hot out.

san diego..another good beach in SD is la jolla.

We went to San Diego on our honeymoon, LOVE SD.. we totally want to go back sometime. We stayed at the Catamaran Inn on Mission Beach.

As for things to see, what we did was:
Sea World
USS Midway - This is so awesome I totally recommend going there! There is also a mini shopping area right off of the Midway so that is fun to check out as well.
We also took a surfing lesson one day which was great... at least I thought so.. H didn't really get as into it as I did, so he didn't want to do it again lol

Coronado is a completely different vibe than PB. I like coronado better, but everyone always wants to go to PB.
