Anyone else excited about SYTYCD starting?

I am! But I'm curious to see how it works without a results show. That seems weird to me. And I'm kind of excited about having both a male and female winner! That should hopefully eliminate some of the annoying judge comments comparing the males and females.

I love this show. We watch religiously and go to the tour show every year.

Did anyone else read the allegations that Mary Murphy is a coke loving nympho?

I LOVE this show!! I hadn't heard about any of the new format you guys mentioned. i'll have to look into it. All that being said, I do not like Mary Murphy either. It's the only show in my memory that we actually have to mute for the duration of her comments. I don't think she's a bad person and i don't mind her critiques but she's too f'ing loud and screamy.. totally not necessary.

YES! I have it on the DVR. Much better to watch it later so we can fast forward to the good parts. We can watch the 2 hr show in just over an hour.

I'm also happy they are getting rid of the results show. The worst part of reality shows is how they DRAG it out.

I love that show but hate the try out episodes

They try out episodes aren't as bad as some some shows (hello, american idol). The rough ones make me cringe, but I like to get the back story on some of the dancers.

Same here! I'm glad I watched or I would never have seen the Japanese guy with the bright red hair since he ditched out during the choreography. He was ah-mazing at his style, and you wouldn't have seen him on the show otherwise if not watching the auditions.
