Gift for 2nd time parents?

Our close friends are expecting their 2nd daughter in a few weeks (their first is 2) and we want to send them something. Normally I stick to registries, so I have no clue what to get. Any suggestions for something you've given/received? Thanks!

I gave my brother a few freezer meals when they had their second. We gave the people upstairs a pizza place g/c when they had their baby. I figure food is always welcome and useful to new parents. Edible Arrangements would be nice, too.

I agree with the previous posts. Food is so nice to have...especially when they are exhausted and don't want to cook.

Thanks! So food it is! I should have mentioned though-they're out of state and in a pretty rural area. Would a Harry & David (or similar) gift basket work? I feel like that's kind of corporate, but I always like them!

I got a gift basket when my bro and SIL had #3.

I like Harry & David. As someone who lives in a rural area with nothing that delivers, I think a gift basket like that would be much appreciated!

A Wolferman's basket would be good. Their English muffins and breakfast breads are really good, and would be easy to eat while feeding a baby, etc.

I was going to say food. We got Harry and David stuff with DS2 and it was nice
I was glad to have fruit and cheese because DS1 could eat it for snacks too.

Food is always appreciated. And God so are diapers! I also like to do something personalized for baby. Bibs, onesies, or burp cloths. Not necessities, but it's nice to get a little splurge for #2 because they get stuck with hand me downs, esp. if they are same gender. If you are able, I was ESPECIALLY appreciative of a small gift for baby #2 and a little something for #1 too.
